This Privacy Policy explains how Keepsona (“we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, and processes personal data when you use the Keepsona mobile application (“App”).
We are committed to protecting your privacy and only process data that is required for the app’s current functionality.
1. Data Controller

2. Account & Authentication
Data collected:
- Email address
- User ID
- Session and refresh tokens
Purpose:
- User authentication
- Account management
- Secure access to the app
Storage:
- Supabase Authentication (server-side)
- Secure local storage on the device
Legal basis:
Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
3. Importing Snapchat Data
When importing Snapchat data (e.g. via memories_history.html or ZIP files), the following data may be processed:
Data processed:
- Timestamps
- Media type (photo / video)
- Location metadata (if included in the export)
- Media references contained in the export
Purpose:
- Creating import jobs
- Displaying memories
- Showing timeline and map-based views
Storage:
- Data is processed locally on the device
- Only minimal metadata (e.g. import status) may be stored in the backend
Important:
Keepsona does not access your Snapchat account.
Only files you manually provide are processed.
4. Media Storage (Cloud – Future Feature)
Cloud-based media storage is not active at this time.
Planned functionality (future):
- Optional cloud backup of photos and videos
- Access to media across devices
Current status:
- No photos or videos are uploaded to any server
- No cloud media storage is currently active
Once this feature becomes available, users will be clearly informed and able to enable or disable it explicitly.
5. Media Access (Local Device)
Data processed:
- Photos and videos stored on the device
- Local asset identifiers
- Local file paths
Purpose:
- Offline access
- Displaying imported or selected media
Storage:
- Local device storage
- Internal app index files
6. Location Data
Data processed:
- GPS location (only with user consent)
- Location metadata from imported media
Purpose:
- Map-based visualization of memories
Storage:
- Metadata stored locally or in the backend
- Live location is not permanently stored
7. Local Cache
Data processed:
- Cached files
- Thumbnails
- Cache indexes
Purpose:
- Improve app performance and loading times
Storage:
- App cache / local file system
8. Purchases & Credits
Data processed:
- Purchase events
- Transaction identifiers
- Product and package information
Purpose:
- Managing credits
- Unlocking paid features
Storage:
- RevenueCat
- Supabase (credit ledger, billing state)
⚠️ Consumable credits are validated server-side and are not stored only on the device.
9. System & Server Logs
Data processed:
- Error logs
- Request timestamps
- IP addresses (where required for security purposes)
Purpose:
- Debugging
- Performance monitoring
- System security
Storage:
- Supabase logs
- Hosting provider logs
10. App Permissions
The app may request the following permissions:
- Photos / Media: Access for displaying and importing media
- Location: For map-based features
- File access: To import export files (HTML / ZIP)
All permissions are optional and can be revoked at any time via the device settings.
11. Third-Party Services
The following third-party services are used:
- Supabase – Authentication, database, storage, edge functions
- RevenueCat – In-app purchases and entitlement management
- Apple / Google – App Store / Play Store services and purchase validation
All providers operate in compliance with applicable data protection regulations.
12. Important Notes
- Keepsona does not access your Snapchat account
- Media stored on your device is never deleted by the app
- Cloud media features are not active yet
- No photos or videos are uploaded unless explicitly enabled in a future update
13. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request correction or deletion
- Restrict or object to processing
- Request data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time
